‍ Leisure Pack Walks

Our senior dogs may not be able to keep up like they used to, and there comes a time when it’s on us to recognize that. The goal isn’t to stop exercising them—it’s to give them the right kind of exercise to keep them strong, healthy, and satisfied without overdoing it.

Whether your dog has been part of our pack for years and is ready to transition into our Senior Pack, or you simply want your older dog to experience the mental and physical benefits of moving with other dogs, we’ve created a hike specifically for them.

Our leisure Pack Walks run a little over an hour and follows gentle farm roads and trails cut through the soft ground of the pasture. We stay close to the tree line for the shade of the forest, with opportunities to cool off in the Tomhannock Creek.

These walks are intentionally mellow, but they still give our older dogs the things that matter: movement, exploration, fresh air, social connection, and the satisfaction of being part of a pack.

As our dogs age, maintaining their mental sharpness and physical strength becomes increasingly important. Our goal is to help make their later years just as enjoyable—surrounded by other dogs with similar energy levels, stamina, and needs.
